A Little About Me
Hello, my name is Stacey, my friends call me Steve.
I am an artist who likes to dip my hands into a little bit of everything; printmaking, painting, digital photography, encaustics, bookmaking, etc. If I don't know how to do it, I can usually figure it out with some trial and error. Recently I've learned how to patch rusty holes in my car by cold welding and replacing things like cigarette lighters in the dash. I'm also pretty excellent at making mix cds.
After taking a very long time to finish my undergraduate degree in printmaking at Ball State University and working at a job that I began to loathe, I decided I needed to pursue other options and decided upon obtaining my graduate degree in Digital Media Studies at the University of Denver. I moved to Denver at the end of August/beginning of September and absolutely love my new city. It's a welcome change from Muncie, Indiana. There's a lot to do, many friendly people and the mountains aren't too bad either.
Those people who recognize that imagination is reality’s master, we call ‘sages,’ and those who act upon it, we call ‘artists.’

"I'm all over the place in all aspects of my life. My favorite interpretation of this was when a friend called me a raccoon. It sums me up. I like shiny things literally and figuratively. Probably why I like lipstick so much. I have a weird obsession with futura font and Mexican cultural iconography, art, traditions, etc."
